    Cadaretta

2008 Sauvignon Blanc Semillon SBS Columbia Valley ($23) offers intense dried pineapple aromas and flavors, particularly on the long finish, that mingle with clean lemon/lime citrus and juicy green pear along the way. Long, mouthwatering finish. Ready to drink now and over the next couple of years. Locate this wine online or in your area. (2009-01-19)

    Chateau Ste. Michelle

2002 Sauvignon Blanc Columbia Valley Horse Heaven Vineyard ($15). Good value on this single-vineyard Sauvignon Blanc, offering balanced flavors like pretty pear, light citrus and fresh herbal notes. Nice acidity through the finish. Ready to drink now. (Weekend Wine, 08/04)

2001 Sauvignon Blanc Columbia Valley ($11). Juicy melon and smooth tropical fruits, with grassy and spicy oak accents. Lots of body and structure here. Ready to drink now. (Weekend Wine, 03/03)

1997 Sauvignon Blanc ($10). Without question, this has been one of the highlights of my little summer project. This wine is just wonderful. It is a beautiful balance of bright apple and pear, with fig and almost nutty undertones that makes it round and rich. A definite favorite – I’m going back for more. (Robyn’s Picks, 8/99)

    Hogue

2000 Fume Blanc Columbia Valley ($10). Lovely pear, tart apple, and citrus flavors are nicely complemented by a touch of spicy vanilla oak. Food friendly. Ready to drink now. (ETFOFW, 02/02)

1999 Fume Blanc Columbia Valley ($9) is every bit as crisp and refreshing as previous vintages — freshly cut grass and a lovely lemon twist make this the perfect spring herald. And, happily, it will once again rank as one of my favorite keep-a-bottle-in-the-fridge wines. (Weekend Wine, 02/01)

1998 Fume Blanc Columbia Valley ($8ish) This is one of my favorite keep-a-bottle-in-the-fridge wines. Light, citrusy, and always ready to roll with lightly sautéed fish and crisp vegetables.

Kamiak 2008 White Blend Columbia Valley Windust ($10). This one could easily become my house white this summer! Flirts with off-dry, but stays crisp and refreshing, with tropical citrus fruit and touches of ripe apple and peach, with a rounded, lightly spicy finish. Ready to drink now. A blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. Locate this wine online or in your area. (2010-03-06)
