Wine & Health - French Paradox Redux

All this talk of cheese has naturally prompted us to trot out the classic French paradox idea for this issue’s Wine & Health.

The concept that moderate wine consumption has a plethora of health benefits, including reducing the occurrence of cardiovascular disease, was repeated as recently as February 2003, medical conferences were repeating the message – moderate wine consumption is good for your health.

At the Second International Wine & Heart Health Summit in Napa, physicians and researchers came together for four days of seminars on the topic. Attendees included Serge Renaud, the co-author of the now landmark French Paradox study.
