Pali 2007 Pinot Noir Russian River Valley Keefer Ranch Vineyard ($50). Deeper and more intense than the Boer Family Vineyard, with black fruits laced with cola and spice that linger on the full finish. Ready to drink now and over the next two or three years. Locate this wine online or in your area.
Ramey 2005 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Larkmead Vineyard ($80). Classic Napa Cab, with full-bodied blackberry, cassis and currant fruit layered with spicy dark chocolate, a touch of dried sage, and supple tannins supporting a rich finish. Robert Craig 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Howell Mountain ($80). Loved this wine for its rich, intense blackberry and currant fruit aromas and flavors, pretty dried lavender and anise accents, and undercurrent of earthy coffee and black licorice that support the long, concentrated finish. Robert Craig 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley Mt. Veeder ($70). A masculine but restrained style, offering complex layers of aromatic black fruits, rich cedar and bittersweet chocolate accents, and pencil lead notes on the long, spicy finish.
