Grgich Hills Estate 2007 Fume Blanc Napa Valley Dry ($30). Complex and elegant, with layers of aromatic citrus, lime zest and tropical melon fruit that fold into a medium-bodied, lightly spicy finish. Grgich Hills Estate 2006 Chardonnay Napa Valley ($42). Clean and focused, with crisp green pear and apple fruit layered with lemon zest, mineral notes, and cedar. Long, evolving finish. (As usual, the winery did not put this wine through malolactic fermentation. In addition, this the first vintage of this wine since the winery’s Chardonnay vineyards were certified organic and biodynamic.) Ready to drink now and over the next four or five years.
